My, Oh My

I can’t believe it has nearly been a week since I’ve been on here! This past weekend I took a little trip to good ol’ Tuscaloosa, AL to watch an INCREDIBLE football game (sorry, ‘Bama fans!), spend some time with loved ones and enjoy this little thing called “fall weather,” which we have yet to experience in my part of the country. Needless to say, it was much needed and much enjoyed. As with any “vacation,” however, reality seemed to smack me in the face the moment I returned home. Papers upon papers upon tests and quizzes hit me like a ton of bricks this week, so I’m sorry I’ve been a little out of the loop!

Here to take a little break from it all, I’ve compiled a few of the things that have caught my eyes (and ears) lately–one of them serving as my muse for the title of this post. While hastily concocting a road trip CD moments before leaving on Thursday (because, let’s be honest, no road trip is complete without some new jams), I threw in “My, Oh My” by The Likes of Us. Thanks to the wonders of NoiseTrade, I acquired this album for free, and after a wondrous 22 hours in the car to listen, I must say I really enjoy their vintage-styled duets. Though it’s a little “pop-y” for my usual taste, I suggest you give them a gander!

Another item worth mentioning right now: Hershey’s Candy Cane Kisses are in stores. I repeat: CANDY CANE KISSES ARE IN STORES. Anyone close to me knows they are my absolute favorite, and the moment they hit the shelves, I’m buying bags left and right. I’m fairly certain it’s my version of hoarding, so be thankful if we don’t share a grocery store, my friends. What about y’all? Any favorite holiday treats? Hope you have a great week!
